PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION

The Midwest Apostolic Bible College desires to stimulate the pursuit of excellence. To encourage close spiritual relationship among its students through scholar pursuit of biblical study, and to provide counsel and assist in the establishment, development and retention of quality instruction.

We want to ensure that the rights of female and minority students who aspire for more responsible roles in their careers are provided. To ensure that students are served by a well prepared staff and office personnel.

We also want to encourage institutional self-improvement through continuous evaluation. To assure the public that MWABC who has been approved for membership to offer programs that meet national and international standards.

Finally, we want to encourage nontraditional learning – the extended campus concept, with emphasis on quality

Course Enrollment:

The Book of Acts - 4 credits
This course studies the events of the church as written in the Book of Acts
Apologetics - 4 credits
The defense of the Christian Faith.
Bible Survey I - Old Testament - 6 credits
An Old Testament Survey Course to introduce the student to the background content, literary quality, and message of the Old Testament as a whole and of its various books

Bible Survey II - New Testament - 6 credits
A complete survey of the New Testament books from Matthew to Revelations.
Church Administration - 4 credits
Present to the student inner functions of the local church advancements and how to function as a leader in the local church setting.
Church History - 4 credits
The history of the church from the Day of Pentecost to present day.
Doctrine - 4 credits
A study of the Christian doctrines with a view of the Apostolic pervasion.
English Composition I - 4 credits
A review of English grammar, book reports, and church bulletins.
Greek I - 4 credits
A course designed for pastor and student. An exciting series concentrating on the vocabulary, cases and tenses used in the New Testament Greek Language.
Hermeneutics - 4 credits
A view of principles for correct biblical interpretation. Concentration is also on the incorrect methods of interpretation.
Homiletics I - 4 credits
The development of the preacher and introduction to sermon structure. (Ministers only)
Homiletics II - 4 credits
The continuance of study of the science and art of sermon construction and delivery. (Ministers only)
Advance Homiletics - 4 credits
Sermon preparation and structure focusing on sense appeal and audience adaptation. (Clinical)(Ministers only)
Public Speaking - 3 credits
A course designed to introduce the student to the fundamental of speech, taking into consideration factors involved in speaking before an audience.
Romans I - 4 credits
A verse study of the doctrines of Condemnation and Justification from Romans 1:1 - 5:11.
Romans II - 4 credits
A verse study of the doctrines of Sanctification and Glorification from Romans 5:12 - 8:27. Along with Israel's Past, Present, and Future 9:1 - 11:36
Romans III - 4 credits
A verse study of the doctrine of Consecration from Romans 12:1 - 16:27
Systematic Theology - 4 credits
Theology is a great subject for someone who has desires to study in depth about God, this great world in which we live, and this vast universe of which we are a part.
